Avoriaz is a high altitude ski resort known for being an all pedestrian ski resort, but also for its quality ski area.

Ecological and entirely accessible by ski thanks to its entirely pedestrian and snowy village. This resort forbids cars, transforming the streets into ski slopes. Located at an altitude of 1800 m, nature is all around you.
The facilities respect your environment and everything invites you to discover the mountain traditions.
The resort is located in the commune of Morzine, halfway between Chamonix and Geneva, in Haute-Savoie, at an altitude of 1800 m. In the resort, you will not see any car: the streets are reserved for pedestrians, skiers and... horses!
The charm of the pedestrian resort is no longer to be demonstrated. After skiing, it is very pleasant to walk around and to sit on the terrace watching the horse-drawn carriages pass by when the weather is good.
Located in the center of the Portes du Soleil ski area, Avoriaz offers an ideal starting point to the 650 km of slopes of the largest transnational ski area in the world (France and Switzerland).
This giant area connects 12 resorts in total, includes 90 restaurants, and allows you, in only 2 lifts, to access from one country to another.

Even for beginners, the main assets of the area are easily accessible. The Lil'Stash, for example, perched cabins with self-service barbecues in the middle of an enchanting forest, are accessible via green and blue trails.
As for snowboarding, a snowpark is specially designed for children! And many modules are set up during the winter for the most experienced snowboarders.
In all, there are 3 beginner zones in Avoriaz, 37 green runs and 123 blue runs. And for children under 5 years old, skiing is free! Children's rates are also available up to 15 years old.
Advanced skiers are not left out with 100 red runs and 30 black runs!
